The Bugatti La Voiture Noire has a sticker price of $19 million, while the Rolls-Royce Sweptail sells for a cool $13 million. In the real world, being able to buy one of these luxury rides is most likely out of the question. In a dream scenario though, no price is too much. These are the most expensive cars in the world.

Before we get into more recent cars that will cost you an arm and a leg, we need to discuss what is thought to be the most expensive car ever sold – the 1963 Ferrari 250 GTO. The supercar maker only produced 36 of these beasts, and the one we’re talking about is legendary for winning the 1964 Tour de France and placing fourth in Le Mans.

The 250 GTO maxes out at 174 miles-per-hour and can go from zero to sixty in 6.1 seconds. Did we mention it’s also street legal? In 2018, the historic Ferrari was sold for a record-breaking $70 million.
